Frequently Asked Questions
What is the cost for psychotherapy?
My rate per session is $225. What insurance covers is plan dependent as well as I am out of network. If you contact your insurance and tell them these three pieces of information they can give you a plan specific quote of how much of each session would be reimbursable.

Do you offer sliding scale?
Yes, I offer a limited amount of sliding scale spots. Anyone needing a sliding scale fee spot in order to proceed with psychotherapy should inquire about the current status of a sliding scale opportunity.
What is the estimated cost of the overall investment for psychotherapy?
For most individuals, we anticipate that treatment will require anywhere between 12- 45 sessions, with each session lasting fifty minutes, in a 12-month period of time, at a fee of $225 per session.
The duration and rate of your services will be dependent on the acuity of your diagnosis and the intensity of your symptoms. This will be determined during your initial fifty-minute psychotherapy assessment that will cost $225. Your estimated total cost of psychotherapy services will be between:12 sessions x $225 =$2,700 and 45 sessions x $225 = $10,125.
If you are participating in one of our Intensive Therapy Programs, you will be charged the applicable fee, which will be presented to you prior to your enrollment in that program, as the program fees will be dependent upon assessed need and applicable treatment design.
How quickly can I expect to see results?
Since psychotherapy and EMDR treatment is not one-sized-fits all, it is difficult to give an exact timeline. In the example of someone going through a single incident truama recently- we could expect to see reduction of the symptoms related to it within about 2-3 sessions. For someone wanting to work on larger scale areas like perfectionism and symptoms related to ADHD it would take a significantly longer amount of sessions before noticing significant symptoms reduction.

Do you offer hybrid services?
Yes, for any local clients coming to my office to have sessions in person is welcome and as they wish to attend virtually that is also an option. For individuals that live out of state but in the states that I am licensed in, virtual is the only option.

When you work with teens, how much do you communicate with their parents?
Working with teens and ensuring parents are adequately informed about the process is a very delicate balance! I do my best to ensure my client (the teen) feels they can share anything to aid in treatment progress while also balancing ensuring the parents feel included. I prefer to have communication be a summary with the teen and parent together so there is full transparency and continued trust from the teen when engaging in psychotherapy. This is discussed at intake and agreed upon by all parties prior to starting.
